Thomas Nguyen (Oliver Warbucks) has appeared in several films, television, and theater productions You may have seen him in Protection Detail as Manny (Wild Dogs Productions), Is He? as Jamie (Black Iris Productions), Spring Awakening at Masquers Theater as Melchior Gabor and Pride and Prejudice as Mr. Collins (Plethos Productions). Thomas has been recognized by Chabot College with the highest honors award in theater arts upon graduating in 2018 and from University of California, Berkeley pursuing a B.A in theater arts and performance studies in 2023. Currently, he is working at SF Playhouse in Exotic Deadly or the MSG play as an understudy and will be making his debut at Palo Alto Players Jersey Boys in April. Thomas is excited to be working with such talented individuals on One Stage’s production of Annie and would like to thank his friends, family, current and former teachers for all their support in his career.
Nikki Liv Basas (Grace Farrell) is excited to be back at One Stage! She was seen previously in the company’s productions of Pride & Prejudice as Elizabeth Bennet and Beauty and the Beast as Mrs. Potts. Other favorite roles include Red Rat Girl (Jekyll & Hyde) and Maid (My Fair Lady) with the Davis Musical Theatre Company, Mrs. Squires (The Music Man) with Pinole Players, Rapunzel (Into the Woods), Edith (The Pirates of Penzance), Kitty Bennet (Pride & Prejudice), and Ensemble (Sweeney Todd). She trains in voice under Henry Torres of Music Repertoire and is coached by Ashley Loren (Moulin Rouge! on Broadway). Nikki is also a performing artist with Kariktan Dance Company based in Concord, promoting Philippine culture through dance and music. Having worked previously with children in a pediatric clinical setting and through community health programs, she looks forward to the opportunity to work with youth again!
Max O. Chang (Franklin D. Roosevelt) is a local Bay Area Director/Performer with 17 years of experience! No stranger to Children’s theatre, Max most recently was an assistant teaching artist for Town Hall’s Theatre production of Wonka Jr. Outside of that, He’s performed in numerous theaters such as Masquers Playhouse, TMC Arts, Chanticleers, Plethos. With One Stage, he’s performed as “Beast” in the Beauty of the Beast and as “Mr. Darcy” in Pride and Prejudice. Other performance credits: “Picasso at the Lapin Agile” (Picasso) as well as shows such as Uncle Vanya, Romeo and Juliet, Bright Star, Six Degrees of Separation, The Crucible, and as a puppeteer for Little Shop of Horrors. Max also works behind the scenes. Last year, Max directed a full stage play production of Yellow Face by David Henry Hwang at the Douglas Morrison Theatre. Other roles include: Stage Manager, Sound Design, Assistant Director, Social Media content creator. Max is beyond elated to be a part of this production and excited to curate a wonderful experience for children’s theatre.

What to prepare:
Please sing 32 bars (1 verse + chorus/1.5-2 mins) of an up-tempo or ballad song.
