Nikki Liv Basas (Mrs. Potts) is thrilled for her debut with One Stage Theatre! Favorite credits include Rapunzel (Into the Woods), Edith (The Pirates of Penzance), Kitty Bennet (Pride & Prejudice), Ensemble (Sweeney Todd), Mrs. Squires (The Music Man), and principal roles in Kababayan's annual Pilipinx American Cultural Night at UC Irvine. She trains in voice under Henry Torres and is a performing artist with Kariktan Dance Company based in Concord. When not on stage, you can find her nurturing seals and sea lions back to health, journaling, or reading a good book. She hopes you enjoy the show! @nikki_liv_
Ashley Castellon (Belle) is so honored to bring Belle to life in this production of Beauty and the Beast. She was perviously Ariel in The Little Mermaid, The Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Sally Brown in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown & more. Belle has always held a special place in Ashley’s heart because she was her favorite Disney Princess as a child so this experience has been a special one. She’d like to thank her friends, family and mentors for always supporting her performance career and her big dreams. Theater is best shared live and she hopes you enjoy the show!
Isabel Chavez (Book Seller/Hat Seller/Plate) is excited to share her very first production with one stage! This is her first show out of high school, having participated in her school’s show choir for all four years; she hopes to come back he apart of more productions with one stage in the future!
Ruby Delgros (Le Fou) is delighted to be joining the One Stage Theater community for the first time. As a life-long theater kid, Ruby has enjoyed playing dozens of roles including Mrs. Butz in Avenue Q, Olive Ostrovsky in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Humpty Dumpty in Shrek the Musical and Lady Larken in Once Upon A Mattress. Outside of the theater, Ruby enjoys talking to her plants, hosting game nights and throwing her friends and family off the tube behind the boat.
Angela Dorigatti (Monsieur D’Arque) is pleased to be returning to the stage after a 9-year hiatus. Angie’s love of the stage was rooted in children’s theatre in Wisconsin. Her favorite roles include Dorothy (The Wizard of Oz), Wilbur (Charlotte’s Web), and the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella. Angie enjoys taking on challenging and exciting roles, such as sword fighting as Kai in The Snow Queen, and chugging whiskey while dancing on a table as Big Betty Balou in Escanaba in Love. After pursuing her PhD in the Biology of Aging, Angie is excited to return to the theatre with One Stage!
Berlin Exley (Silly Girl, Wolf, Napkin) is 13 years old and is so excited to be a part of One Stage’s production of Beauty and the Beast! You may have seen her previously as an ancestor in Addams Family(Irvington Conservatory) or Little Red in Into the Woods(One Stage). She has been acting since she was 5, runs cross country, and dances at Betty Gentry Dance Studio. She would like to thank her entire family for making her dreams possible and she hopes you enjoy the show!
René Exley (Babette, Silly Girl, Wolf) is thrilled to be in another Onestage production! She was in Into the Woods Jr. last year as Cinderella, and is looking forward to playing Fiona in Shrek Jr. this summer. She just graduated from Newark Memorial High School, and some of her favorite productions there included Firebringer (Zazzalil), Clue (Yvette), and Snow White (Snow White). She would like to give a special shoutout to all of her friends and family who came to support, and her sister for always being her show buddy.
Cassidy Hill (Gaston) is very excited to be in their first One Stage production and first musical! They are no stranger to the stage, both as a musician and as an actor. Credits include A Midsummer Night's Dream, Hamlet, Divine Stella Devine, and more. Cassidy is extremely thankful for two important people that made this all possible: their wife, Danika, and their vocal coach, Richard Jennings.
Marie Alexandra Ibarra (Madame De Le Grand Bouche) is an advocate for the arts, education, and strength training. Marie makes her debut with One Stage Theatre, sharing the spotlight with an exceptional cast, crew, and production team. Memorable roles include: Little Shop of Horrors (Chiffon), In the Heights (Abuela Claudia), Avenue Q (Christmas Eve), Les Misérables (Mme. Thénardier). Upcoming productions include Peter Pan Foundation’s Performance in Disneyland (July 2024) and Sunnyvale Community Players’ The Sound of Music as Sister Sophia (October 2024). Off-stage, Marie is the Coordinator of the Asian Pacific Islander Student Success Center (APISSC) at Cal State East Bay. Stephanie Kara (Chip) is honored to be playing another dream role and in a show she has loved since she was a child. Recent credits include Alice in Alice in Wonderland (One Stage Theatre), Gloria in Wait Until Dark (Tabard Theatre Company), Blue Weasel in the world premiere of The Great and Glorious Mr. Toad (EBCT), and Mamma Mia (PCRT). Max O. Chang (Beast) is excited to reprise his role as “Beast” after a decade! He’s actor/writer/director. He recently performed at Masquers Playhouse musical production of “Spring Awakening” (Otto) as well as a play production of “Picasso at Lapin Agile” (Picasso) at Chanticleers. He recently directed a production of “Yellow Face” by David Henry Hwang which performed at the Douglas Morrison Theater as well as writing an original stage play, “Dirty in Emotion”. Max expresses gratitude for his friends, family, saucy boys, and every cast and crew member past and present!
Cynthia Ortiz (Silly Girl/Wolf/Napkin) This is Cynthia Ortiz’s 2nd time working with One Stage Theater. Some of her favorite previous roles include "Harry" in Puffs, or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic, "Sabine" in the 3 Musketeers with John f Kenedy highschool, and the Baker in One Stage Theater production of Into the Woods Jr. She is very excited to be playing many roles including Silly girl and very thankful for all the support she has gotten from this amazing cast and her family she hopes you enjoy the show.
Veronica Ortiz (Baker/Plate) This is Veronica's first time working for One Stage Theater. Veronica's favorite roles were Rochefort in The Three Musketeers and Patrice Griffin in the production of a Very Merry Stagehand Christmas Reindeer Apocalypse Storm for JFK Theater. Now Veronica will be performing in One stage Theater production of beauty and the beast as Baker and castle staff. It's been a joy to work with such an amazing cast and crew. She hopes you enjoy the show.
Rachel Ristau (Cogsworth) is 17 years old and is so excited to be in her first main stage musical at One Stage Theatre. You may have most recently seen her as Emberly in NMHS Dramas Firebringer, and you can catch her next as Dragon in Shrek the Musical at One Stage Theatre. LaTisha Rodriguez (Lady with Babies, Coatrack) is over the moon to be sharing the stage with her three kiddos and gives special thanks to the cast and crew for making this dream come true.
With LITTLE experience on the stage but BIG love for “Beauty and the Beast,” this was a fun challenge that she hopes all will love being part of this entertaining experience. Big hugs to One Stage!
Everest Roush (Shepherd Boy/Sultan)
is just eight years old and is excited for his third show with One Stage Theater!
Everest is in second grade and enjoys P.E at school, playing soccer for his team, and swimming competitively. He also likes to play piano, talk about Pokémon with his cousins, and play board/card games with his sisters. Everest wants to thank Ms. Lorraine for this special role and hopes you love the show!
London Roush (Lumiere’s voice) is thrilled to do another show with One Stage! Her past productions include Alice Beineke in “The Addams Family“ (Irvington High School) and Narrator in “Into the Woods” (One Stage). In her free time, she loves to play the French horn, basketball, lacrosse, and hang out with her bearded dragon. She wants to thank the cast and crew for an awesome production.
Venice Roush (Sausage Curl Girl/Piccolo/Fork) is thrilled to be in “Beauty and the Beast,” her fourth show with One Stage Theatre. When not on the stage, Venice loves singing, dancing, and making videos for her “audience.” You may have seen her playing on any field or court in the area as she is also part of many team sports year-round, including lacrosse, swim and basketball. Venice hopes you love her part in this show as much as you loved her in “Into the Woods” as Lucinda.
Noelle Wilder (Lumiere) is eager to light up the stage with One Stage Theatre as Lumiere. Noelle is also the choreographer for this production of Beauty and the Beast! Wilder is a proud Black Deaf actor who uses American Sign Language on stage as a way to not only communicate but also to educate the hearing world about accessibility and diversity in performing arts. Noelle made their first debut with Stage 1 Theatre (now One Stage Theatre) in 2022 as Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Most recently, Noelle has shared their bilingual talents on stage as the Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz (Palo Alto Players), Belle in Beauty and the Beast concert (Peter Pan Foundation), Wish Upon A Star (Peter Pan Foundation), and at Disneyland (Peter Pan Foundation). They have also choreographed for Mary Poppins (South Bay Musical Theatre), Frozen Jr. (Stage 1), Lion King Jr (Stage 1), Moana Jr (Stage 1), and the Bay Area International Deaf Dance Festival. When Noelle is not in the theater, they are a teacher of tiny humans at California School for the Deaf, Fremont.
Sofia VanRod (Silly Girl/Wolf/Napkin) has appeared in The Little Mermaid JR, played Scar in The Lion King JR, and Cinderella’s Mother in Into the Woods JR. She is a high school Sophomore and on the Varsity Cheerleading team.
Lorraine VanRod (Director) is currently One Stage Theatre’s Board President. She is the Development Director and Executive Leadership Collective member of Cutting Ball Theater in San Francisco. Previously, Lorraine was the Director of Marketing at TheatreWorks Silicon Valley (Regional Tony Award Recipient 2019).
